I have a 2011 edge sport and it seems like the headlights are not very bright? any idea what a better option would be? not sure if they are HID or not either, did a little research but no answer yet.[nopity]
I ran a set of Sylvania silverstars in my truck. They are the same wattage, but the whiter light makes them tons brighter. It was like putting the high beams on when I was driving on low beams...
I wouldn't recommend this, and what is the big deal with
DRL's? I turn my lights on for safety anytime vehicle is running, and I am a native born American. I do this out of habit.
I have DRL's on my Escape, and I hate them. I see no advantage whatsoever in running lights when there is perfectly good daylight. I have not had one instance that it helped me see any better, nor has it helped me see anyone coming at me any better. It is a wasted strain on my alternator IMO.
There are tons of complaints about the Edge headlights. Ford should consider a recall.
I really don't think that an alternator gets that much extra stress from just DRL's. As for the headlights, I wonder whwhen FORD changed the design or experimented with different bulbs. I am satisfied with our 07's output. Years ago, my mom was disappointed when she upgraded from a 93' Taurus to an 03' one. She felt that the light output was weak. Hope things work out.
I agree my wife has a 2014 and she doesn't like the way It projects not high enough I guess. I will try to realign them
