I mounted Michlen Xice 17 225 50 snowtires on Craeger 17x7 steel wheels, 5 1/4 offset on my Cmax. All works and handles well. Tire warning light comes on and stays on. Any ideas?

A guy I work with but new rims and snow tires on his 2014 Escape he said the light was on then went off after a few does. He didn't install the TPM sensers . I ll have to ask him if the light is staying off.

When I got my winter tires and rims I did not get TPMS sensors by choice.
The light comes on and the chime ring three times and I get a little message. I hit OK to turn off the message , the chimes don't come back till the next time I drive the car, and I ignore the light. One problem with this is that tire dealers will not mount wheels with out the sensors an cars that had them as original equipment. By law they can't disable "safety " devices.
