Third Row's a charm

I was parked next to a guy who had a Ford Edge. I told him i was considering one, but wished they came with a third seat. He said we have a third seat.
I didn't ask what year it was, but prior he said he had had it about 4 years.
Does anyone know what year they offered the third row and if the 2018's will have a third row. I understand they released one in China.
Thank you,

Dave

I don't think the edge ever had a third row. My wife has a 16 and it doesn't. The explorer from 02 and up had an optional third row, but the edge is just too short.

I saw it with my own eyes. the vehicle was a dark charcoal metallic. They said it was 4 years old. That would make it like a 12, 13 or 14. Said they got it for when they occasionally have the Grand kids.

I'm not calling you out or anything, I've never seen one. Are you sure it was an edge? Maybe it was an explorer or a flex they have third rows. And I know for a fact the new ones from 15+ do not have a third rows.

I just did a quick google search and they do offer a longer edge with a third row in China, the window on the rear hatch is more vertical to allow for the third row. This version is only on the 15+ and only in China
