Good news! Looks like ford is going to offer a 5.2L crate engine! A quick rundown of the specs---5.2 block with 3.700 bore, manley h beam rods with mahle forged pistons, GT 350 heads which have a 1mm larger intake valves and .7mm larger exhaust and redesigned valve angles to accommodate the larger valves, because of the new valve angles the cam base circle has been enlarged thus allowing for bigger cams. Standard coyote crank, and special cams that have the same specs as the gt 350 voodoo engine, just recut for the standard coyote firing order. actual displacement is 317" and it puts out 582 hp on pump gas. Ford put the new gt 350 heads on a forged 5.0 coyote crate engine and it made 541 hp

Also, it's not mentioned but the gt 350 heads raised the compression on the 5.0 short block from 11.0-1 to 11.5-1, so my guess is the combustion chamber is smaller. The new heads added 100 hp to the 5.0 short block.

Here is a list of the part #'s for the 5.2XS crate engine if you want just some of it.

Found this article of a coyote swap into a vintage bronco, with a 6r80 trans.

Found some new details about the different thread sizes on the coyote exhaust bolts on the heads. As I mentioned earlier, the early ones had a 10mm x 1.25 pitch and the later ones had a 10mm x 1.50 pitch. The change was made during the 2011 model year so if you get an 11 coyote you could get either thread size, the 12 and later coyotes all have the 1.50 pitch threads.

Good to know.... So, the 10mm X 1.5 was a short lived deal. Probably piss a few people off.

Did you know your last post was exactly 2 years ago?

Actually the 10 x 1.5 is the current thread, the 10 x 1.25 is the old design and it's what the 4.6 and 5.4 use.
