Talked with him this morning. He says it seems to only do it under a load, such as up a hill or under acceleration.

Basically, when the engine is under load. Have the coil checked, it could be breaking down...

Just a side note that I went through 2 sets of NGK's that were bad right out of the box on my 85 GT (missed like an SOB). I hear people standing on mountains praising them, but I've had zero luck with NGK's. That experience moved me to buying Autolite or Motorcraft only.

I'm not saying this is what you are experiencing, just throwing the possibility out there.

And then, I've also made the mistake of cracking the ceramic on the plugs somehow, and that also creates a miss under load.

I've always had good luck with NGK's. I get a bit suspicious with other makes of plugs. Seems as though many have gone to manufacturing out of the U.S., like in Mexico. Poor quality control there. I know, NGK is a foreign company, but I just have had good experience with them.

As for the coil, my dad lives an hour away. I haven't been down there since I replaced the plugs, so I haven't checked the connection with the spark plug wires at the coil. Wish I would of thought of that when I was replacing the spark plugs.
