The engine is from a 93 mark viii. The heads are hand ported and upgraded to 98 cobra head specs. The heads are milled down, the internals are forged and retains its return less fuel system. The intake is matched and is a second gen mark viii. The swap was done using a combo of 01svt parts and mach 1 parts. The harness is gt and modded. Running ev6 24lbs injectors with matching mass sensor.
Got to run on fords test track once but that's about it. Mainly just the streets. Not idea but its what we got. I'm currently working on a set of tumble ports, and lower intake. The engine has been a blast. I suggest that anyone wanting to do a hands on project this swap is very cool. But I won't sugar coat it, it will cost. It took a few years to track all the parts needed at the right prices. Allot of leg work and junk yard hours, but in my write up I tried to list parts and locations as much as I could.
Just remember when looking for a donor to get everything , engine, brackets, cables, everything. You may not need it all but it is better to have than not. There are allot of parts that are discontinued. For example I purchased a mach 1 throttle cable back in 2009, and at that time it was 45.00, now discontinued that same cable is about 200.00 new if found.
I'm almost tempted to swap you for an M122...lol. I'll be looking for a lower manifold when I start my bronco build. I've been contemplating a blown teksid for SVT...
Haha can't swap for this one, been looking for a kit like this for a while. But if you have something that would fit my 04 mach 1 that would be better haha
1: should i change the clutch while its out? Doesn't look to bad but id like another opinion
2: should i change the rack n pinion?
as you can see its very oily and was told by emissions place my inner tie rod is loose or might be going bad
thanks shane, if you have any recommendations for the clutch kit for 200 or less let me know.
as for the rack i was going to say the threads are different but they are the same because i was going to use the rack on the 66 with 97 power steering lines.
i was going to buy an o/r h pipe earlier today but thought it would be best to just wait and its a good thing i did lol
Yeah eventually I would love a supercharger but I'm thinking Kenny bell.
Right now I'm working on redoing the wiring so hopefully everything goes off without any problems
