So my 2010 Sport doesn't have the garage door opener/homelink on the visor and I saw my buddy who had the 2012 SEL that did. Can I just buy a new visor with it and that it?

It's probably something that needs to be activated in the ECU by the dealer I would bet...

The homelink button was standard on the 12 Focus Titanium but eliminated on the 13's so people starting buying the 12 visors and just plugging them in and they work. The opener is a self contained unit that is independent from any other system on the car, all you need is power and ground and it works. That simple.

Fortunately, it's back in the 2014... I did the 2012 visor in my 2013 Focuses, worked fine, but traded those off yesterday for the Fusion, which had Homelink on the visor.
