My new Fiesta Econetic (ordered in the UK) seems to be stuck in Flushing, Belgium, having been built in Germany.

All that I can understand from my dealer is that some sort of modification is outstanding on the car (may be something to do with a water hose bonding problem specific to Econetics).

I have tried Ford Customer Relations, but got nowhere (referred me back to dealer).

Is anybody else subject to this sort of hold up, and if that's the case, do you have any info that might be useful to me?

I would be REALLY grateful for any responses at all!

Sounds like something may needs to be resolved. Sad to tell you, but I am SURE your dealer wants to sell it to you as much as you want it.
I work at a motorcycle dealer in the U.S. and there are times that your hands are tied waiting for backordered parts. There is nothing you can do.
Have the given you an expected date ???

Thanks for replying.

Heard from dealer that the car was being released from Belgium about a week ago, en route to Dagenham Docks, UK, and would then be treated as express delivery to dealer, but since then, deafening silence!

I was interested if anyone else was in the same position, as dealer implied there were several thousand cars needing some specific attention.
