The Ford Mustang will make its debut as part of NASCAR's new-car limited rollout in the 2010 Nationwide Series, Ford said. It's part of a push by NASCAR to burnish the brand image of the Nationwide Series and inject more showroom models into the mix.

That would be a reason the watch this series instead of the top series. Love to see a pony car battle- Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, and maybe

the Genesis coupe.

Ford and Toyota are the only two brands financially supporting the NWS now. GM and Chrysler dropped their financial backing of both the NWS, and the Camping World Truck Series last month.

It would have been nice to see a hint of the old SCCA Trans-Am series with those cars.
