Once car has sat in the sun for a while (several house) I start it up to take a trip and the speakers start thumping. I turn everything electronic off (sound system, a/c) and the thumping continues. I took it to the dealership, they had the Ford Rep come out. They replaced the noise cancelling module (non warranty) which didn't help. Now, I go back and ask for more help and no one at the dealership will even call me back. Suggestions? (besides buy a Chevy)?
Yes, send a PM to FordCustomerService on this site, or FocusFanatics. You should be able to use your same login. They will contact you, and your dealer. Have your VIN ready, and if you have your paperwork from the dealer that will help also.
Here is a thread on a similar subject in Focus Fanatics- in fact some have the exact same problem. You can use the same user name to log in to FF. The first guy has a different problem, but later in the thread someone else has a problem just like yours.
In the Blue banner directly above the yellow Post Reply box, there is the User CP (user control panel), click that, look in the list on the left for Private Messages. Then click on Send New Message. Start entering FordCustomerService in the box, and it should pop up below.
Alternately, if you are logged in on Focus Fanatics while reading that thread I linked, you can click on the Ford Customer Service rep's name, a menu will drop down that gives you the option to send a message to FCS.
Crap... it won't work from BOF. You'll have to log in to Focus Fanatics. Also the name has changed to simply FordService.
Going through that thread, it seems that reprogramming the DSP- digital signal processor- in the radio might solve the problem. Also, any SYNC upgrade that has not been done might solve the problem.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
