I'm not sure. I remember my grandfathers 1968 Ranger and it was a great truck. They brought it back in the '80's as a small truck and now it is back again as a mid size. GM has done this too. I suppose there is some draw to it but there really needs to be a quality that both the old and the new share to make the name credible. GM's new Nova is an example. I don't think we will see a Pinto anytime soon inspite of the market leaning towards that style of car.
I'll agree, but the Maverick was a car, now it's a SUV or what ever you want to call it. The Mach E is not really a Mustang where the Mach name started. I'm not a nay sayer, but use them to pay tribute to the original namesake.
